Today we spent the whole day in down town Lahti, walking around in shops and malls, visitiong the local marked, finding some small souvenirs and maybe gifts to bring home. It was a great day with a big warm sun. We had lunch at a pizza place where we could have as much pizza and icecream as we wanted!!!
Then some of us went to the movies and saw the new Harry Potter movie. We filled up a whole seat row :)
Back at the school things went back to usual. Soon its over so we try to enjoy it as much as we can.
The flagtime in the evening were lead by the finish delegation. After breakfast at 8.30 we had cleaning groups. The first aktivity strated at 10 pm outside. we played a survival game with rabbits, foxes, hunters and plagues. the rabbits had 10 min before to find food, so they had to collect orange letters from envelops which where hidden in the trees. then the foxes came and when they catch a rabbit, the rabbit had to give him 2 pieces of feed, when the rabbits where catched by a hunter they had to give him 4 pieces of food and to the plague 6 pieces. after that game the kids had to talk about their feelings and compare the game with reality.
then we went home for lunch.

The second activity was about problems in our countries. First we saw a small film about global warming and after that a short film about the using and the meaning of water, an international problem. then the kids had to think about the problems they have in their own country. each delegation had to write down what is good in their country and which problems do they have. then they had to talk with another delegation about what they had writen down. for example germany had to talk to brasil. Each delegation had to find a solution for the problem of the other delegation by acting. so for example the german delegation had to find a solution for the brasilian problem violence and poor people and so on. the kids had a lot of good ideas to try to solve the problems and the activitiy went pretty well. the snack was made by the israelian delegate the jc Romi.

The danish delegation made the national night for this evening. they celebrated a small party for merles (denmark) birthday, like dancing with a ballon and then they had a treasure hunt game where the kids had to find the treasure. each group had to stick together because all of them had to carry a red string which made a circle and they had to stand in it. they had to walk like this from station to station and do a lot of things. they had a lot of fun. after that eveyone got a piece of a great banana cake from denmark. It was also the birthday of the only leader Janis from Lathvia. At 21 pm the leader of philippines, brasil, thailand and germany had to leave for their day off:)

Good Night everyone

JC DAY! !

JC:s SUPER DUPER DAY 13.7.

We started the day by wakeing everyone up, to a rainy morning, with the song "JC:s are the best" and Just dance.

It was kind of a messy morning because someone (MILLA) turned off her alarm clock instead of wakeing everyone else up! Thank god our boy JC:s are more responsible than Milla.. ;D

We had the upside-down schedule wich means that we started the day with flag down, inside because of the rain, and lullabies.

Activity 1: Pimp your JC. We devided the kids into 6 groups. Each group got a JC to whom they could do whatever, in "makeover" way, with. (Offcourse nothing permanent like cutting hair or shaveing eyebrows.., We´re kind but not that kind)

Activity 2: Mars. The kids where once more in groups, but this game was more about communication. The JC:s had invented their own really strange and funny language. The task was to by watching us "talking to eachother" figure out language out. Words we had signs for were ex. Gas,water,yes,no...ect.

It was really funny to see the kids try to figure it out. They were really good at it.

Activity 3: Talent show!! The kids, that wanted to, got to preforme with a show that they themselves prepared and decided everything about. The JC:s were jury, show host and "technical guy".

After the show we thanked everyone, audience also, with gummybears and scrapbooks.

Practicipants in the show:

Eivind break dancing

Björk&Solveig dancing to Wannabe

Pauli,Juca & Teng dancing to I like to moove it moove it.

Merle and Yrja had a amazing acrobatics show!! :)

As PRANK (praktical joke) for the JC boys, we announced that they´re dancing to the song Poker Face. They hadn´t prepared anything, but they did pretty well anyway!

etc...

Language in the Mars activity:

"Hejj Hejj"-Bye

JAAAAH- No

Brlblubrlbu-Yes

Everybody dance now- Angry

Romiii-Embaressed

Totally,Totally,UhUhUhUh-Go away

Comon-Confused

ect...

Songs we sang during Lullabies:

Eternal flame

I don´t wanna miss a thing

Hey Jude

Wonderwall

...?

We ended the day with a extra relaxing activity. First we had a massage circle, were everyone got a back massage from the person behind them, at the same time as they gave one for the persons infront of them. Vicky had some really nice meditation after the massage. We weren´t shore if it would work with the kids, but we were pleasantly suprised. They really liked it and some girls even thought we should do it more often.

It was a really great day, and everyone enjoyed the activities. We had a great day!! We started our day with Trust games - leading around our blindfolded partner, trust falls, and things like that. Then the planning group told us we'd swim for activity two so everyone changed into their swimsuits and grabbed their towels. They gathered us all around for a picture and when we were least expecting it, they ambushed us with buckets full of water!! It was definitely a surprise! We had a water balloon fight and played water games - it was our favorite activity so far!!!

After we all changed into dry clothes, we met in the gym to play Hot Air Balloon. Each delegation was told to choose fifteen things we would bring with us on a ten year trip. But then, our hot air balloon was too heavy and we had to start getting rid of things. We ended up with food, water, clothes, respect, and friendship - not a bad bunch!

We're all looking forward to shopping day very much and tomorrow there should be some great activities planned - we can't wait!!!

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; The whole Thailand delegation: Pitcher, Teng, Noy, Book and Shiny
14.7.

Today is the responsibility of Thai delegations again. Guess what?? Today is Excursion day...WOW!!!
Every kids was very excited. We went to the beach near the camp site, actually it is the lake. Some kids were swimming in the lake and some were lying on the grass. It was a very nice sunny day. After that we walked to the harbour which was next to beach. We took a boat to see around the town and it took around 2 hours. Then, we went back to school and taking the shower.

Activity 3 started at 19.30 and we did the game called "Resources". The kids were splitted in to many groups and each group contained different number of kids. Some groups were big but some were small. Each group will be given the different resources which are; water, forest, food, stone, and gold. They had to decide in their group that what they had to do to survive in each round. There were many unexpected situation happen in each round. First, they have to had enough food or water for everybody in the group, and they had to build the house as well by using the resources that they had. Then, the disaster might come for example; earthquake, fire, or monsoon. So, everything that they use to have might be lost. This game theach them how to survive with the others and how to manage the resourses to be enough for everybody.

Finally, the flag time and lullaby was coming. We sang some songs before went to bed. Every kids enjoy their time very much and also exhausted from excursion. So, everybody went to bed nicely and saying goodnight to each other.

                                                Book and Shiny (from Thailand)

Shiny (leader from Thailand) and Vicky (Jc from Thailand)

Teng, Meg (from Philippines) and Noy

The delegation of the Day: Latvia

17.07.2009.

Delegation of the day - Latvia

This morning started with Latvian music as we had the right to pick the wake up songs. After the flagtime when our delegation had the duty to raise the CISV flag, we started activities.

In first activity we had the "I love my neighbour who has ..." game. It was real fun because we had to switch chairs and be careful when the person in the middle called on the characteristics we had. Then we had the card game also with chairs when we moved around the circle based on wheather the right sort of cards was called - clubs, diamonds, spades or hearts. But we had to stay in our chair if anyone was sitting in our lap. Sometimes the wait was pretty annoying, especially hearing the right sort of card when you were blocked in your seat. Sometimes the aces made the difference as we switched on the chairs if someone was in front. Next on the menu was "Chicken and monster race". That was a funny running game where monsters catched the chickens.

In second activity we had "Green and red card" game where there were eight groups which tried to get the maximum points by guessing the color which most of the other teams would not call. That was a kind of betting game with lots of arguments and agreements inside the groups. The key of success was strategy and cooperation.

In third activity we had values auction where eight teams were given an amount of money and they had to buy in an auction different things such as ipod, love, cars, friendship, nature, Britney Spears, McDonalds etc. After that we had a discussion about what and why we bought, which is the most important part of that activity.

In the evening we of course as always had the lullabies and our JC Raffy was great playing the guitar with four strings out of five as we sang the songs.

See you later!

Latvian delegation.
                                                      Janis and Eliza from Latvia

Ida (Philippines), Merle (Denmark) and Panu (Jc from Finland)

OPEN DAY 10.7.

10.7.

OPEN DAY

Today we had our open day which everyone has been waiting and preparing for. We had super cleaning groups in the morning and after that all the kids had to prepare their bags for family stays.
The open day started at 15.00 when all the delegations had organized their own table in the lobby; whit candy, flags and different info about their country. During one hour our guests had the possibility to walk around and get to know about all the campers. At 16.00 the program started in the gym. All the delegations had a short show, which went really well. We finished the open day with flag time and then the children left for their home stays and leaders for their weekend.
We were very happy with the open day, everything went as we planned.

Camp director's speech:

Hello everyone and welcome to Wild Child Village! My name is Johanna Sandberg and I am the Camp Director here.

CISV Wild Child Village is a camp for 11-year-olds from all over the world. This year we have participants from 13 different countries which you will soon get a chance to meet.
CISV was founded over 50 years ago by Doris Allen on a thought that if kids from different countries got to meet and know other kids from other countries they should become more tolerant towards other cultures and habits. This thought of peace and understanding is what unites CISVers from all around the world.

We are happy to meet up here in Lahti and Lahden Yhteiskoulu for our camp. For two weeks now, we have lived together, eaten together, played together and become great friends. A normal day here at camp usually consists of everyone waking up at the same time, gathering at the flag pole where we raise the CISV flag and sing the CISV song and after that it’s breakfast and cleaning groups. We have three different activity periods during the day when we do different games and plays. The activities vary from running games, warm up’s and energizers to more advanced activities. There we want to give the kids a chance to reflect on themselves and their place in the world. National nights are a great opportunity for everyone to experience the different cultures through games, dancing and national food. We also have a couple of excursions and we have already been to the ski museum and the ski jumping towers. This was definitely a sight that everyone wanted to see. Unfortunately it rained the day we wanted to go to the beach but everyone has, by now, gotten used to the Finnish summer weather which we all know doesn’t always cooperate.

So, at this point I would like the following people to please stand up and that is our wonderful staff! Please meet Silja Borgarsdottir Sandelin, Olli Sihvonen, Janna Rosenqvist and Annette Guillou. I would also like to thank Markku Moisala, the principal of Lahden Yhteiskoulu, for letting us live here and for the warm welcome that we have received. Last but not least the following people also deserve a great thank you: Kati Renvall for all the hard work she has put into the planning of this village as well as Linda Nummelin, also a member of the planning committee. Host families, kitchen staffers, volunteers and donors, we all appreciate the work you have put into making Wild Child Village possible.
So, without further ado, please sit back and enjoy the show!

Delegation of the day: Thailand

Book, Shiny, Noy, Teng, Vicky (Jc) and Pitcher

8.7.

Today, Thailand is the delegation of the day. We responsible of a lot of things from the morning till the night.

We woke up at 7, brush the teeth and take a shower. After that, we have to prepare the plate mat in the Dining hall so that everyone will sit properly following by the name that we put. Then, we wake the others up by turning on some Thai music which are "Ready to Love", "Jai Lalai", "Jungwa Hua jai", "Cinderella", "Mung?", and "Rak Tae". All the music had been chosen by each Thai delegation. After everybody ready we went to the flag pole and sang CISV song together. We had breakfact around 8.30. We chose 4 people from each table to come up and done the Sawasdee (Thai greeting way), and who is the most beautiful acting will be the first table to get food. The cleaning group still running today, each group have to clean the place that they got nicely.

At 10.30, the activity 1 started. First, we play the game called "Get to know your neighbor". We were divided into 2 groups and sit in the circle. Then, everybody had to draw their favorite things in the paper without let anybody knows and pass to the person next to you. After that, that person had to come out in the middle and try to perform something based on that picture that they received, and the others in the circle had to guess what is he or she doing. That's why everybody will know their friends' favorite things and know more about the others as well. After this game finish, we open the trading market for the children. There, they can bring everything they want to trade by showing all the items around the gym and the each kid start to walk around looking for the things they need. There are various CISV or national items for example; shirts, pants, towel, pins, caps, or postcards. The kids were having fun with there stuff a lot.

Now, it's lunch time. We chose each kid from each table again and let them try to speak Thai word. The one that can speck correctly will be the first table. When the lunch finished, it came to siesta time and the activity 2 began. We played the Mickey mouse game, the kids will be divided into 2 groups and sit in the circle, boys and girls will sit one by one next to each other and we have 4 chairs beside. Each kids will be given each character for eaxample; Mickey mouse, Pluto, Robin hood, Dumbo, or The beauty. After that, the person that had a space near him will call the character to sit beside him and whn that person came they have to switch the character that they have to each other. The goal is that they have to remember who get each character and try to call that boys or girls to come up and sit on the 4 chairs in the same time. So, it's the boys against girls game.

Then, the dinner time was coming, We are 3 questions and who is the faster will be the first table. The questions are "How many CISV chapter in Thailand?", "How to say Thank you in Thai?", and "What is the capital city in Thailand". Today is Olivia's birthday (Finnish delegation) so we made a surprise for her after dinner. Everybody sang the happy birthday song to her by delegations in their own language. She was very happy.

Today is the Thailand and Germany national night. Everybody wait and see the performance near the gym. Then, the show has begun. Thailand came first and then Germany. We started by the presentation about Thailand and following by our pictures and video that has been recorded our feelimg while we are here, and end with the show of Thai classical dancing. The Germany start the show with their presentation of Germany and following by the football dancing. They provided the kids with a game "Sackrace". each person has to jump in the garbage bag to the goal as afast as they can. After that, all the kids went to the dining hall to taste Thai traditional food that called "Tom Yum Kung". It is spicy but seems like everybody love it.

When they are finish with the food, it is flag time, so we sang CISV song again and do some lullaby at the end before they went to bed. It was a big day of Thai delegations because we both are the delegation of the day and national night. We are all tired but with all the smile and happiness. Thailands nationalnight

We got some good Thai food.

Delegation of the day: USA

Josh, Wesley, Margie, Meg and Janette
9.7.

Today the US was delegation of the day! We were very excited to have our turn to do flag time and placemats and everything else a DOD should do. :)

We started the day with practice for Open Day. Each delegation will be presenting a small portion of their national night for the local community tomorrow. We will also do an energizer with the audience (sugar sugar). It should be fun!

After lunch (chicken soup) we were supposed to go swimming at a nearby lake for activity two but it was raining quite hard so we stayed at camp. Instead, we played the zipper game and a new one called Be Afraid of Silja...and we were! We had lots of fun and didn't even really mind that we had to skip the swimming.

At night, we saw the Latvian and Philippino national nights. Latvia presented a few songs and dances as well as some information about the different regions of their country. The Philippines showed us three dances including Tinikling, a dance with long bamboo poles. Afterwards we had a Tinikling contest and Silja won! We also got snacks and scrapbooks from both countries - yum! We liked the dried mango the best :)

Delegation of the day: Philippines

7.7.

Philippine Delegation Day!!!

We started the day early with a wake up call of Filipino bands blaring out of the stereo speaker. It was so good to hear "Noypi", "DooBiDoo", and "First Day High" (courtesy of Raffy) in the halls of Lahden Yyhteiskoulu early in the morning. It was cold at flagtime but it didn't dampen our spirits at all. After all, we had two birthdays to celebrate!!! Carolina of Brazil and Ilmars of Latvia were turning 12 and 11 respectively. We sang them "Happy Birthday" in all our languages.

We did our "breakfast duty" choosing the order of tables and announcing the first activities of the day. After breakfast we did our cleaning groups as usual and proceeded to the parking lot for a fun game of "Human Knot" and "Crossing the River" where the kids got across the "river" to safety using only 5 pieces of scrap cloth as a bridge. It was HUGE fun! And then back inside for "CISV Hide and Seek" a sort of backwards hide and seek where the hiders have togo to the "prison" if caught. But everyone is set free after someone kicks a certain box and says"CISV!" It was Shiny who saved us all! :D

In the afternoon, after siesta, we had the "Fantasy Island Game" where the kids had to create their own island after the world got "destroyed".They had to come up with a monument, thier own language, currency, costume, and flag. It took up most of the afternoon and proved to be a challenge for most of the kidsa, but the results were so cool!

At dinner, the JC's came back from their day off. Everyone was really glad to see them again! It was another thing to be excited about! After dinner we had a chance to really celebrate Carolina's and Ilmars's birthday with yummy ice cream cakes which everyone enjoyed! But the fun didn't end there; it was national night for both Iceland and Finland!!! Everybody loved the show and the food prepared for after it! We had a taste of blueberry soup and various candies from Finland and dried fish and smoked ham from Iceland. Yum!

Flag down was just a little biut rainy, but the girls did a stellar job. We ended our day with songs picked out by my girls of the Philippine delegation, Darlene, Ida, Johanna, and Megan.

Delegation of the day: Norway

Olaug, Aurora, Yrja, Olav and Eivind

6.7.

Wake up at 8am as usual. The summer mornings in Finland are cold but the sun was up today. We met at the Flag Pole to raise our flag and sing the CISV song - by now we all know it by heart.

Today we all got a secret friend - our Monito. The names of all villagers;children, adults, JC's and Staff were put on pieces of paper and then we had to pick one from a bowl. We can only tell the Monito Master who this person is. Apart from this it has to remain a secret. We all made our own mail boxes that we put up on the wall. Here the Monitos can put nice letters and messages. We hope many nice surprises awaits us from our secret friends. Today many already got letters and some small candy. The mail box-wall looks great, full of colours.

After a great lunch we did an activity called Stereotypes. We sat delegation by delegation in the cantina and startet of by drawing our map on a big paper. Then we had to pass it to another delegation and we got someone else's map. Now we could write and draw all we think about when we think about this country. Passing and recieveing maps we got the chance to tell about how we think about all the nations participating at the Wild Child Village. At the end of the activity we got our own map back. There were many correct facts about Norway on our map, but also some exaggerations, like that all norwegians are blond. There were many nice things to read, but also some that made us think a little bit and made us realize new things about how other people see us. Every country got a chance to explain a little bit about what had been written on the map and how they felt about it.

Our 6 JC's left right before dinner. They are having their Day Off and won't be back untill tomorrow. We already miss them. The Village is not the same without them.

In the evening it was Brazil's National Night. It was cool. First they showed us some Brazilian dances. They had national costumes on and danced witht an umbrella. We got to see some pictures from this beautiful country and then they made us all dance and we had a Brazilian carneval. There was confetti and balloons everywhere. We also got to taste some Brazilian snack, chocolate and juice. It was a real party and it was hard to go to bed and sleep after all the excitement.

peace

the Norwegian delegation
Aurora, Eivind, Olav, Olaug and Yrja

                                                Brazilian dance: Frevo

                                              The whole Brazilian delegation

Delegation of the day: Latvia

05.07.2009.

Finally the day of our delegation has come!

In the morning we woke up everybody with the sounds of our national band “Brainstorm”. We were given the honor to decide the order of tables which went to get their breakfast, lunch and dinner. The winners of the competition were the first ones to get their daily meals. So in breakfast everyone had to do pantomime (guess what the person is showing without words). The words were quite easy (snowflake, president, etc.) and competition between contestants was strong. It was a matter of a second who got first place. At lunch we asked such questions as “which country has the most similar flag to Latvia’s?”. And we were happy we got a correct answer – Austria. Also we asked about “how many birthdays our delegation has during village. And for that we also got an answer – 3 of us have birthdays during our village out of total 7. The most annoying task to decide the winner of who gets dinner first was how to spell “saursliezu dzelzcels”. It’s hard even sometimes for us, Latvians, to do it.

The topic of the day was the national night of Guatemala, wow, and that really was a show! Southern temper and emotions dominated that evening.

And of course there were the usual lullabies which we all love. As a delegation of the day we had the right to pick the lullabies we sang together.
  That was emotional and awesome!

                                             The Guatemalan delegation

                                                      Ari from Iceland

                                                        Hitting the piñata

                                                       Playing lotteria

Delegation of the day: Iceland

4.7.

We were the delegation of the day. We had fun doing that. Then we went out to say good mooring to each delegation and sang the CISV SONG around the flag.

After that we had some breakfast and we made a small dynamic with a kind of broken phone in each table, telling some Spanish words like: salud, buen provecho, senor, senorita, etc. It was hilarious!!!!

The Wild Child Village had THE FIRST EXCURSION TODAY!!!!

We all went to the SKI MUSEUM, we had to walk for 15 minutes maybe, enjoying all the nature here. There we could learn about the history of this sport here in Finland!! And also we enjoyed the games that simulate the winter games. The great surprise was that we could went all the way up to the ski jumper tower, and we had the opportunity to watch some jumpers!! IT WAS AMAZING!!!

For lunch we had a lovely picnic with some sandwiches, yogurts, fruits and chocolate milk. Then we went to the swimming pool, the water was so cold!!! And we also got some sun bathing…We had a great time!!!

We walked back to the camp and then we had shower time!!! After that and the breakfast were we gave them some questions about Germany to make the decision about which table can go first to take their breakfast.

Then we had our first activity for the day. We played a chair game, where each person got one symbol from a normal card play like diamond, heart and so on. The leader of the game was shouting the symbols and these people had to move to the next chair and sit on the persons that weren't move. They couldn't even move when it was their turn to move, so we had long lines of persons. When the leader shouted on the whole line had to change the position and the one on top had to sit in the end. After that game we played Hi Harry which was also very funny!

Then it was time for lunch and after that for the Jc shop, were each kid can choose some sweets, t-shirts or postcards.

From 1 pm to 2 pm there was one hour siesta time, where the kids can sleep read or play cards. At 2 pm the next activity started outside on a grassfield with some big trees where we played capture the flag. We had two teams and they had to find their flag, which was hidden somwhere in the trees on the side of the other team. They tried to run to the other side and if they got catched they were send into the prison. It started to rain and we went home to had the shower time. The leaders had their leaders meeting.

At 5 pm it was delegation time! Many delegations used the time to buy ice cream and sit around and talk about their feelings. One hour later it was time for dinner and we (the delegation) led the group to do something for us to see which table would be the first table to take food. So we asked them do the German flag with their t-shirt colors and to sing a German song!

7.30 pm was the time for activity 3. We played the winkle game, the girls were sitting on chairs and the boys standing behind them. One boy had no partner so he had to winkle to a girl, we laughed a lot! the second game was called clapgame which was also funny.

At 9.15 pm we had the lullabies we enjoyed it very much and went happy to bed at 10 pm.

the German delegation

Delegation of the day: Finland

1.7.2009

Today we (Finland) were the delegation of the day. We woke all up by playing the music from Fröbelin palikat (finnish kids songs). Then at the flag time we lifted the flag. We needed some help because Suvi (the leader) didn't know how to do it. But in the end it worked out fine. At breakfast we decided who goes first to take the food by asking questions about Finland. We have to clean all the areas in the school that we're using.

At the first activity we played name games and a game called ”Shark game” That was so much fun!

We had soup for lunch. After lunch it's siesta one hour and then activity two starts! Here we went outside in the beautiful weather we're having! We played a game called ”wild ball” familiar to baseball but more simple. That was fun too!

We had snacks and then it was time for a shower – needed after all the running :-)

Delegation time! We have delegation time one hour every day.

Dinner today was fries and meatballs and salad, uuummm!! :-)

Activity three; here we did a few energizers to get a good start. After that the leaders had prepared a puzzle game for us. We were divided into groups and we had a lot of different pieces for eight different puzzles. Each group had to find their right pieces but without talking! That was really hard! The puzzle showed us where to go to find a picture that showed us a new place and so on... We had to do all this holding hands and without talking!

We all ended outside by flag so we were ready for flag time! We have lullabies every night before we have to be in our beds at ten.

This have been another great day at Wild Child Village!

Danish delegation, Soeren, Selma, Rasmus, Merle and Clara

Delegation of the day: Brazil

29.6.
We were the first delegation of the day. We woke up at 7:30am to wake up our friends at 8am. Sandra chose a Brazilian song to wake up everybody, but almost all were already awake. At 8:20 we did the flag time. It was hard for us because it’s a big responsibility to be the first and to remember all the countries. After that we went to dinning area to our first breakfast. We asked few questions about Brazil to choose the first table to take the food. Is Buenos Aires city from Brazil?

After that we sang Kiitos, brushed teethes and started the activity <st1:metricconverter productid="1 in" st="on">1 in</st1:metricconverter> the gym. We had a lot of name games. It means that we made a lot of new friends!
Ten minutes before finish the activity we had to go to dinning area to put placemats for all to know their seats. More questions for choosing the table order.

1.What s the name of the president of Brazil?
2.Which colors are in the Brazilian flag?

After lunch we stayed in our own room for siesta time and change souvenirs.
Activity 2 and 3 were Cinderella. We had the opportunity to know a bit more about the kids of our group. Each group did a kind of Cinderella play (opera, water, cowboy, drama, backwards, ballet).

To choose the table for dinner we chose some leaders and JC’s from each table to dance to Brazilian songs like axe, forro and samba. All the children arrived yesterday around 6pm. They got their beds and were shown around in the school by their leaders. First everyone had to make name tags and table matches. After that we had a meeting in the gym where all the delegations had a short presentation. We ended the day with flag time and lullaby.

Everyone seemed to be very excited with the first day and meeting the other children.

Today we've been playing name games and ice breakers.
